SILENT MIND
The mind is the one instrument that differentiates humans from animals . But if not controlled it can make man act worst than animals .The mind controls your destiny and you must control it .
Do not keep your mind clustered with worries – worries are the worst enemy of the humans .
Consciously train your mind not to worry and every time your mind has a thought of worry/negative thought , throw it out .
The mind is so unique and powerful , yet it can only have one though at a time – try it , you will only be able to think one thought at a time.So when a negative ( worry ) thought buds in your mind , think of something else and the bad thought will disappear .
What is worry and what does it achieve – nothing but bad health .
Why worry about the past – it is gone . In the present do something about the task and if you can’t do anything about it , why worry – leave it and it will take its natural course .The future will come , without you worrying about it ; whether you like it or not .
If you can do something about a problem , do it but if there is nothing you can do about it , leave it ,worry is not going to solve it .
The mind need silence – at the end of the day , give your mind silence for ten minutes , go into a corner and sit there silently without thinking anything – in the beginning it will be difficult , for the mind can travel faster than light and goes from one thought to another but once you train it , it will slowly begin to obey you .One way to train the mind to stop thinking is by mantras – keep repeating a mantra in you mind and another thought will not enter and the mind will soon calm down . In no time , you will be able to give silence to your mind at will . ( most people associate ” mantras ” with religion – this is not necessarily true . Sure there are some very powerful religious mantras but repeating ” i am happy “‘ becomes a mantra as well : and it will do wanders to your energy levels and clarity to your thinking .
Once you learn to do this for longer periods , you will not need mantras – you will be meditating and forgetting yourself and all you will experience is calmness and love . you will soon learn to listen to your conscious and hear what it says . When you are guided by this voice , real happiness will come and instead of being immersed in your own problems you will begin to see everything in a different light and your hands will extend to help , to give and in turn you will receive : the way you were meant to live .
In being of help to others in mental or material ways , you will find your needs fulfilled , you will find your own happiness increase ten folds .
And to achieve all this
First calm your mind , learn to appreciate silence , spend time in meditation listening to your inner voice and your priorities will change . What seemed a big problem will be insignificant , not worth spending time on ; instead devote that time to helping others .
