Mudras are hand positions / gestures that are used to better your health by directing the flow of energy in your body .
VAYU MUDRA – AIR
Keep the index finger at the base of the thumb and press with the thumb keeping the other three fingers straight .You can practice this for 45 minutes per session and you will notice a difference within a few days . Continue for 2/3 months for full benefit .
This mudra is very good for Rheumatism , arthritis and gout . It will also help in reducing the shaking caused by Parkinsons disease . You will feel relief from pain caused by trapped nerves in the neck .
SHUNYA ( ZERO ) MUDRA – ETHER / NOTHINGNESS
Keep the middle finger at the mount of venus and press it with the thumb , keeping the other three fingers straight . Do it for 45 mins per session .
This is very good for ENT , ear nose and throat . If you have an ear ache , you will notice that the pain goes away within ten minutes ! It is used for reducing deafness and diseases relating to the ear and in a lesser degree for the nose and the throat.
SURYA MUDRA – SUN
Bend the ring finger and press it with the thumb . Practice this for 5-15 minures per session . If this is difficult , you can touch the tip of your ring finger to the tip of your thumb and apply gentle pressure .
This position will sharpen the centre of the thyroid gland .It will also help in reducing cholestrol , anxiety and even help in reducing weight .
