SWINE FLU – AWARENESS

I donot think anyone in the world has not heard of SWINE FLU which has spread over the entire world infecting millions and causing hundreds of deaths . It is curable , but you can take precautions to better your chances of not getting it .Information is the first thing one needs :

As we all know , the symtoms are very much like normal flu . There are some prevention methods that I will list below which may be useful .

(1) You can add in your tea : freshly ground fresh ginger , fresh turmeric , cumin , cinnamon powder and  small pieces of garlic and sip when warm , stirring all the time so that you are not left with a sediment at the bottom of the cup. .This combination is an old ayurvedic  receipe to prevent colds which lead to flu . Ginger and cummin will heat up your body ( ginger also has blood thinning properties as such do not take in combination with asprin ) whilst turmeric is known to have antibiotic and and antiseptic properties . Drinking this tea once a day will help in keeping your body warm and strenghthen your immune system to fight any infections .

(2) Once/twice  a day take one table spoon of luke warm honey and add a quater teaspoon of cinnamon powder and swallow this . This will strenghten the immune system to fight against bacteria and viral infections .Constant use of this will give power to your white blood corpusles to fight bacteria and viral infections .

(3) Keep everything around you clean and sanitised . Keep sanitaising towels or spray with you and use it often . Make sure that you use this sanitising spra/gel/towels to clean the hands of your children every time they go out or come home .

(4) Always put something ( a tissue ) in front of your mouth when coughing or sneezing .

(5) Grandma’s chicken soup – a very good prevention remedy . The ingredients for this can be found very easily on the internet . For vegetarians other soups are available .

(6) This is an ancient prctice that will produce heat in the body thus fighting colds . It is called

ling mudraLINGA MUDRA , mudra meaning position/gesture .

Interlock the fingers of both hands kepping the left thumb stright up encircled by the right thumb and index finger .Left thumb should be upright and the right thumb around it . Prctice this with restraint as it generatesa lot of heat in the body .You must drink a lot of water as a cooling agent . The heat this produces in the body helps in curing colds and coughs and will remove accumulated phlegm in the chest .Remember to take a lot of water when practcing this position .
